Stephanie's Story
Moved to Seattle, Washington with Greg after we got married and started my career with the Federal Government. Absolutely loved Seattle !! Greg and I seperated and I eventually made my way back across states where we got back together and had 2 beautiful children who are now in their 30s; Francis Stephen and Melissa. We lived in Fredericksburg and Stafford, Va. After about 8 years, Greg and I were better at being friends than being married so we got divorced. I continued to live in Stafford most of my life and one day someone called and said "this is a blast from your past". It was Bobby Oakes. We went to the reunion together, continued our relationship and got married and had a beautiful little girl named BobbiJean. Bob was an awesome builder and started his own business "REO Construction". After 9 years of trying really hard Bob and I parted ways but always stayed in touch. ar Warrenton, Va. Between us we have 6 children, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, AND 3 dogs. Just what i always wanted: a huge family. Family holidays and get togethers are awesome. I just need a bigger dinning room table!! Life is great. We live on 5 acres of woods surrounded by horses on 2 sides, cows and goats on 1 sides and woods on the other. My neighbors here are friendly and greeted us to the area immediately upon pulling up with the moving van. We lived on Emerson Court in Stafford for 10 years and only knew 2 families despite my endevours to make friends. No one had time to get to know each other, they were all busy commuting on that horrible I-95. Everyone was always in a bad mood from the traffic up and down 610. We were amazed when we moved West and found friendly people who still said "hello" and "Merry Christmas" and held the door open for each other. It's so relaxing to come home. Of course everyone here commutes but it seems to be different when you get further out to the country and see the mountains and horses. I am happy.
